Beer Butt Chicken Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup butter
2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons garlic salt
1 tablespoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 (12 fluid ounce) beer can
1 whole chicken (4 pounds)
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat an outdoor grill for low heat.
- In small pan melt butter and mix in dry ingredients.
- Discard about half of the beer with leaving the remaining half in can.
- Now fill the rest of the can with the half of the butter & spice mixture and saving the other half for basting chicken.
- Spray can with cooking oil spray. Place can onto a disposable baking sheet then place chicken on top of the beer can so that the can goes into the cavity of the chicken.
- Place baking sheet will beer and chicken onto grill. Cook over low heat setting for about 3 hours, or until chicken reaches 180 F (80 degrees C) internally.
Yields: 7-8 servings

Grilled Beer Lime Chicken
INGREDIENTS:
1 lime, juiced
1 beer light in color(12 fluid ounce)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
6 skinless, boneless chicken breast
DIRECTIONS:
- In a large Ziploc bag put first 7 ingredients into bag and mix together by squeezing bag till blended then add chicken.
- Let it marinate for 20 minutes.
- Prepare grill by spraying with cooking oil.
- Preheat grill to medium heat.
- Gill chicken until tender and juices run clear. About 5-7 minutes per side.
Yields: 6 servings
Prep Time: 30 minutes including marinating
Cook Time: 10-15 minutes
