Not to mention you get them benefit of oats in every bite. Great way to get your little one eating a little oatmeal with them noticing they are eating something good for themselves.



Oatmeal Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

    1/2 cup butter, softened
    1/2 cup shortening
    1 cup light brown sugar
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon cloves
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    3 cups rolled oats
    1 cup raisins(optional)

Directions:

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F(175 degrees C).
In a large mixing bowl cream together butter, shortening, brown sugar, sugar, eggs and vanilla until blended. Then add baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, salt and flour blend together then stir in oats and raisins.
- On a ungreased cookie sheet drop rounded teaspoonful on to pan.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until lightly golden brown. Do Not OverBake! Let cool for 2 minutes before moving from pan.

Yields: 36 servings
Prep time: 10 Minutes
Cook time: 9 - 11 minutes
