Egg Nog Beverages

How Much Egg Nog do you need?

I all was plan for 2-4 cups per person. Egg Nog Recipes have been hand down for generations.

Traditional known as a holiday beverage. Put now can almost be found in stores year round.


EggNog Recipe (Punch Bowl Size)

Ingredients:
1 gallon whole milk
14-16 large eggs
1 fifth whiskey, less if desired
1 pint rum, less if desired
2 teaspoons nutmeg
1 tablespoon cream of tarter
1/4 cup sugar for egg whites
sugar egg nog to taste

Directions:
Separate egg yolks from whites. Place egg yolks in punch bowl and beat with a egg beater. Set egg whites place aside in refrigator. In punch bowl milk with egg yolks and blend well. Slowly stir in whiskey, rum, 1 teaspoon nutmeg and add sugar to taste. Chill till ready to serve.

When ready to serve Give mixture a quick stir then in a large bowl beat together egg whites until stiff peaks form, then beat cream of tarter, and a 1/4 cup of sugar. Mound egg white on top of egg nog mixture in punch bowl. Sprinkle rest of nutmeg over top and serve.

Servings: 30 roughly


Egg Nog (small batch)

Ingredients:
6 large eggs separated
3/4 cup sugar
2 cups whole milk
2 cups of cream
1 oz rum
2 cups whiskey

Directions:
In large bowl beat together yolks and add sugar while beating. In a separate bowl beat egg white stiff then add 1/4 cup sugar and beat in. Mix in whites with yolks and milk then stir in remaining ingredients, Mix thoroughly. Serve cold with grated nutmeg on top.
