This is a easy fruit salad recipe that can be made up to 12 hours in advance. This Fruity combination is a delight part of a any meal occasion.
Ambrosia Salad Recipe
1/2 pineapple cut into 1/2 inch cubes
5 navel oranges peeled and outter membrane removed
3 Bananas peeled and slice to 1/4 inch slices
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons Cointreau or other orange flavor liqueur(optional)
1/2 cup sweetened shredded coconut flakes
1 cup of seedless grapes red, green or mixture
Cut up pineapple into 1/2 inch cube discarding the fibrous core. capturing as much of the juice as possible.
Slice off orange peels and white pith. Over bowl carefully cut along both sides of the membrane and let fruit and juice fail into bowl.
Add banana slices, lemon juice, liqeuer(optional), coconut flakes, grapes over fruit.
Options: If you wish add Maraschino cherries or Marshmallows or both right before serving. Note cherries will stain fruit and coconut flake.
