Swedish Meatballs Recipe
Meatball Sauce

Delicous swedish meatballs this is one of my favorites my mom use to make for me. Easy recipe makes great leftovers. Serve over pasta or rice.

1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped green pepper
1/2 cup dry oatmeal
1 large egg lightly beaten
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 black pepper

GRAVY: 2 cans Cream of Mushroom Soup or Golden Mushroom Soup

FOR MEATBALLS: PREHEAT frying pan to medium high with 2 tablespoons of oil. MIX all meatball ingredients lightly but thoroughly in medium bowl. Shape into 2-inch balls. Place in frying pan and cook till no long pink in middle. Drain Keep meatballs warm. FOR GRAVY: Add soup follow soup label instructions Cook over medium high heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Boil for 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in meatballs into mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil and thickens slightly. Add meatballs to sauce; stir. Serve over noodles or rice.
